mPulse Mobile Achieves SOC 2 Type II Attestation

mPulse Mobile, Inc., the leader in mobile health engagement, announced today the receipt of its Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II attestation, providing independent validation of the company's internal security controls.

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, a licensed and independent CPA firm, evaluated mPulse Mobile over a seven-month period from April 13, 2016 through October 31, 2016. This certification ensures that mPulse Mobile meets the current high standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and maintains controls over the privacy, security and confidentiality of customer and third-party information.

The SOC 2 Type II attestation is recognized as one of the most strict and comprehensive audits to evaluate non-financial reporting compliance through the principles of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. Also known as the Trust Services Principles (TSP), they address the effectiveness of the organization’s system, people, procedures and policies.

“The commitment to our customers’ HIPAA compliance and regulatory requirements is a top priority at mPulse Mobile,“ says Ram Prayaga, Chief Technology Officer. “The SOC 2 Type II attestation demonstrates the quality of our processes and the high standards of data security that we maintain to meet the rigorous requirements for the healthcare industry.”
